JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• RF planning for outdoor and indoor of TETRA system.
• Preparing the RF design for indoor-outdoor TERTA network, which consist of the following:

- Power budget calculation.
- Coverage simulation.
- Network capacity calculation.
- Frequency plan & Interference calculation.
- TETRA sites BOQ.

• Site survey to identify an optimum location of the new TETRA sites.
• Coverage simulation for ongoing and new TETRA network using RF PLANNING TOOL
• Frequency Code plan for TETRA’s Air Interface and interference calculation
using RF PLANNING TOOL
• RF planning of an indoor coverage enhancement system using passive and active equipments (coaxial and optical fiber systems).
• Coverage simulation studies for indoor system using (In Building coverage simulation software).
• Site Survey of indoor sites to select the proper location of the coverage enhancers’ equipment.
• Coverage verification test for indoor system.
• Perform on site test for the distribution antenna system of indoor in order to verify the system’s performance in terms of (VSWR, RETURN LOSS, CABLE LOSS)
• Coverage and services verification of TETRA network (outdoor and indoor) by performing Drive test measurement.
• Daily system health checks
• Monitor and daily analysis of alarms or notification escalated by Tier 1 team, and resolve and/or provide recommendations accordingly
• Proactively investigate potential network faults or triggered alarms levels to improve preventative network management
• Ensure that fault diagnostic techniques and processes are improved and optimized for oversight staff
• Provide guidance to staff in the correct interpretation of fault alarms.

REQUIREMENTS

• University Qualifications: Engineering
• Nature and length of previous experience: 5 years of experience in same role
• Knowledge to perform the Programming of Radio Test procedures
• Knowledge to perform the Programming of Radio Test procedures
• In-depth understanding of the function and operation of a TETRA core switching equipment and general network equipment, a foundation knowledge on ITIL best practices on Service Management with Good understanding of data transmission networks and Troubleshooting skills.
• Able to possess a good working knowledge of computer applications required for responsibilities noted in the above sections.
• Must know the use of Personnel Safety Gears and work related Safety proceduresIn-depth understanding of the function and operation of a TETRA core switching equipment and general network equipment, a foundation knowledge on ITIL best practices on Service Management with Good understanding of data transmission networks and Troubleshooting skills.
• Able to possess a good working knowledge of computer applications required for responsibilities noted in the above sections.
• Must know the use of Personnel Safety Gears and work related Safety procedures
