Overview

We are seeking a Writer Editor to join the Traffic Safety Services Division (TSSD). The Writer Editor's primary role is to promote TSSD products and services by developing awareness ideas, creating copy for websites, social media, marketing materials, and other platforms. They create both written and verbal media for both private and public consumption.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:
- Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for TSSD websites, blogs, marketing materials, and similar platforms.
- Conducting research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions in the field, and then contextualizing the findings.
- Assisting the creative team with the design of promotional materials.
- Using social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote TSSD initiatives.
- Collaborating to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.
- Monitoring social media and TSSD website metrics.
- Utilizing SEO methods to increase site traffic.
- Suggesting new ways to promote TSSD offerings and to reach consumers.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, digital content creation or marketing from a recognized and approved program.

You will have ten years of experience in journalism as a writer, communications, public relations, or media relations, gained from either a news, public relations agency, or in-house communications setting, ideally in the energy, oil and gas, or chemical sectors.

You will have proven working experience in public relations.

You will have a proven ability working in diverse public relations teams is preferred.

You will have exceptional writing and editing skills.

You will have experience leveraging digital content management systems to deliver digital content to meet the needs of various audiences.

Experience managing content management systems and digital publications is preferred.

Fluent in Arabic & English
