JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Seasoned Recruitment is seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and guest-focused Field Guides to join exceptional safari lodges in the Eastern Cape. We are recruiting for both Junior and Senior level guides who are eager to deliver world-class safari experiences, prioritise guest safety, and serve as ambassadors for conservation and environmental education.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced guides and enthusiastic emerging talent to work in a rich and diverse natural landscape, while contributing to unforgettable guest stays.
Requirements:
• FGASA NQF2 qualification (minimum)• Valid PDP and driver's licence
• First Aid Level 1 (minimum)
• DEAT/THETA registration
• Rifle handling qualifications (ARH)
• A genuine passion for wildlife, conservation and guest experience
• Excellent communication skills and guest engagement abilities
• Team player with a professional attitude and positive energy
• Willingness to learn and grow under senior leadership
• FGASA NQF4 (preferred) or higher
• Valid PDP and driver’s licence
• First Aid Level 2 or higher
• ARH and SAPS Competency Certificate
• DEAT/THETA registration
• Minimum 3–5 years of guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve
• Strong tracking skills and ecological interpretation ability
• Confident and charismatic in hosting guests and managing drive dynamics
• Strong leadership and mentorship qualities to support junior team members
• Additional certifications in birding or specialist habitats are advantageous
