Regional Account Manager - Southern Africa
MENESA Region
Capetown, South Africa based, Full-time Ongoing role

Part of Navitas global Source Country Office (SCO) network, Navitas Dubai was established in 2012. Dubai, along with Nairobi Office, forms the Navitas MENESA (Middle East; North, East & Southern Africa) Source Country Offices. These offices are responsible for the management of partner and stakeholder relationships; regional sales and marketing activities; and student recruitment to Navitas University Programs globally.

This role forms an integral part of the Navitas Middle East; North, East & Southern Africa (MENESA) Group Marketing team and will be based within Capetown, South Africa. The position reports to the Regional Manager - Middle East and will work closely across global Navitas University Program Divisions within MENESA. The overall objective of this position is to take a leadership role in agent sales and relationship development, sales diversification and business growth within specified regions of Southern Africa and provide general leadership to sales teams within each defined region.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential
- Exceptional oral and written capability in the English language
- Have rights of residency, hold or have the ability to hold valid work and residency rights in South Africa under applicable residency and labour laws; and possess the ability to travel with ease across African countries
- Possess a tertiary degree level qualification and/or 5-7 years marketing/management experience
- Experience and success in managing key accounts as well as developing new accounts into high performing and pro-active partners
- High level interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Proven ability as a team player able to work across cross-functional teams
- Flexible attitude to work (e.g. in hours and content), including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement marketing strategies and sales tactics which have made a significant contribution to sustainable business growth
- Innovative thinking and proactive work habits inclusive of an eye for detail and for new sales initiatives
- Proven experience of working effectively within a matrix structure, with focus on collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines, changing priorities and to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in using Windows-based software applications
- Exceptional people and client management, interpersonal and soft skills; being driven, motivated with an ability to inspire and influence others with a collaborative, commercial and positive attitude
- Ability to work and achieve results autonomously

Desirable
- International work experience in the international education / language sector
- International study experience
- Fluency in a second language other than English one which is of prevalence in Southern Africa
- Experience working with multiple local stakeholders in the education industry including education agents, schools and colleges
