JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose

The Accounting person is responsible for general ledger management, account reconciliation, cash receipts processing, depreciation and accruals, investment accounting, restricted asset releases, A/R collections, and preliminary monthly accounting cycle closing.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial record keeping and reporting systems.
• Supervise payroll, billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger functions.
• Monitor and follow-up on receivables that have been outstanding.
• Produce monthly financial statements including balance sheet, profit/loss Statements and accumulative general ledger using a computer-based accounting system.
• Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries.
• Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items.
• Monitor cash flow and investments.
• Reconcile bank and investment accounts, and prepares related journal entries
• Preparation of invoices
• All Works pertaining to Exports and Imports and connected documentation
• Taxation on required areas.
• Interaction with Purchase dept, stores and other dept.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the sales manager

Reports to: MD / Sales Manager

Salary:
AED 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in commerce, accounts.
Experience: 5 to 7 years

Required Functional Skills:
Accounts- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Material Accounting, Import Accounting, Schedules, Inventory Valuation, Statutory Compliances, MIS Reports, Budget Preparation, Budget v/s Actual Analysis, Liaison with Auditors, Business Plan Analysis, Transfer pricing, Invoicing, Collection followup, Cash Flow, Monthly P/L reports. Using Tally.

Logistics – Material follow up, Goods In / Out, Warehouse Management, Material Deliveries, Transportation Management, monthly stock review.

Required Personal Skills Effective Communications, Team Player, Ability to meet deadlines, Client Interaction, Proficiency in IT, Problem Solving Skills.
