Position: Accountant
Department: Financial Department
Reporting Manager: The Finance Manager
Location: Motor city, Dubai
Job Description:
We are looking for an energetic person that will assist the finance department on a range of tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Prepares Invoices as per company policy in timely and efficient manner
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivables
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing interim and annual financial statements
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
• Assist with payroll
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
• Complies with financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
• Prepares management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trend
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping customer and financial information confidential
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• Work experience as an Accountant – 3 years minimum
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Additional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus
• Knowledge of UAE VAT is a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS is a plus
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized and structured individual able to work under tight deadlines
