JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete financial records for Curio in both Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely manner using Xero accounting software. Reconcile bank statements and financial data regularly to maintain accuracy.
• VAT Filing and Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with local regulations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
• Stay updated with changes in VAT laws and ensure the company's compliance. Handle VAT-related correspondence and queries from relevant authorities.
• Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and statements on a regular basis to provide insights into the company's financial performance. Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports for management review. Assist in financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor budgetary performance and report any variances to the management team.
• Audit Support: Prepare necessary documentation and support external auditors during the audit process.
• Ensure all audit requirements are met, and audit queries are addressed promptly.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assistance in Import & Export: Prepare and review all necessary documents related to import and export activities.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and international trade laws.
• Stay updated with import/export regulations and guidelines, ensuring all documentation meets legal standards and prevents any potential issues during customs clearance.
• Liaising with customs clearance agencies to facilitate seamless customs clearance for products entering various territories

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a multinational company operating in Dubai
• Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of VAT laws and regulations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
