Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the oil trading industry, and possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Manage cash flow and monitor banking activities to ensure sufficient funds are available.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within the oil trading and oil transportation industry
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards.
- Fluency in English
