JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate monthly and annual financial accounts, ensuring proper documentation of financial transactions by entering account information.
• Generate and issue timely sales and inventory reports on a bi-weekly basis.
• Analyze actual expenditures in relation to the annual budget and prepare monthly comparisons of actual vs. budgeted figures.
• Produce error-free accounting reports, present findings, analyze financial information, and summarize the company’s financial status.
• Review and reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, and profit & loss statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the financial position.
• Handle trade finance documentation (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees) and address audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring the accurate maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Compile and analyze account information to prepare entries for asset, liability, and capital accounts.
• Provide regular financial status summaries and offer recommendations for financial actions based on comprehensive accounting analysis.
• Manage incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring timely payment of bills and prompt collection of outstanding invoices.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of taxes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and helping minimize tax liabilities.
• Prepare and publish financial statements on time, ensuring the confidentiality of financial data and conducting regular database backups when necessary.
• Control the accounts receivable of the company by sending updated statements of accounts to customers on time and employing professional methods to follow up on overdue payments via calls, emails, and face-to-face visits

Requirements:
• Minimum of one year of experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in ZOHO and ERP systems being an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and tax laws is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A UAE driving license is preferred.
