JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our fish-agriculture company in Dubai/Umm Al Quwain UAE. The ideal candidate will manage all accounting processes, ensure accuracy of financial information, and support the financial operations essential to our business growth and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Monitor cash flow and bank transactions to maintain financial stability.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the agriculture or fishery sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and local financial regulations in UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
