Accountant - Real Estate

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Westlakes Recruit is partnering with a leading real estate company in the Abu Dhabi to find an experienced Accountant. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and analysis, ensuring the company’s financial integrity. Candidates must have experience in real estate and knowledge of UAE financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Recording: Post journal entries and process accounts payable/receivable.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including reconciliations and bank statements.
• Financial Statements: Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting month-end/year-end closings.
• Tax & Compliance: Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Bookkeeping: Handle invoicing, payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation for audits and assist with ad-hoc reports.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

External Relationships:
• External Auditors, Vendors, Clients

Requirements:
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate.
• Knowledge of UAE financial regulations.

Preferred:
• Pursuing CPA or equivalent certification.

Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software and general ledger management.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of tax compliance and audit support.

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
