JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Charterhouse are currently working with an engineering practice, whom within the Abu Dhabi office, are in the process of looking to recruit an Accounting & Finance Manager to cover their regional operation and business hubs.

Managing a team across various locations, this Accounting & Finance Manager will take ownership across core financial accounting, areas of financial planning & analysis, project-based reporting and treasury management. In conjunction, this role shall also oversee areas of taxation and audit processes whilst also working across ad-hoc projects within the governance and controllership sphere.

With a reporting line to the Group Financial Controller, the Accounting & Finance Manager will also be geared towards the production of strong and IFRS compliant accounts, whilst also developing reports, to deliver strong and insightful management commentaries and any variance analysis for planning and budgeting purposes.

The role will also be focused towards areas of inventory and plant accounting; whereby areas of fixed assets, inventory and resource allocations are accounted-for within the overall financial statements and reporting platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

The client will look to recruit a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) whom is able to demonstrate up to ten years of overall experience and career background. The successful candidate shall be able to deliver strong and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS, along with relevant exposure to project-based accounting, with at least two years within a construction and/or engineering consultancy environment.

Applicants shall also be able to deliver a knowledge base across the regional GCC markets, with an insight and track record of managing staff and/or projects within these markets, with remote-based teams. To deliver across the accounting and reporting nuances, the client will also look to recruit a candidate with well-developed and refined Excel skills, allowing for financial modelling, linked to any business development and the analysis of investment and expenditure both operationally and within the project pipeline. The nature of the business and the team structures will also require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
