ABOUT THE JOB

Review, analyse and contribute in the development and implementation of business continuity management (BCM) framework and program to facilitate in ensuring the sustainability of the business critical processes, activities and dependencies to achieve company's operational / business objectives in continual delivery of its products and services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Continuity
- Review, analyze and support the development, implementation, review, and exercise of business continuity planning and execution procedures.
- Evaluate business resources necessary to plan and execute continuity procedures.
- Review Business Continuity program components (Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessments, plans, strategies, etc.) to ensure that they are current, effective, and address business requirements. Incorporate lessons learned and leading practices from exercises into processes across the business.
- Assist in the development of metrics and reporting of relevant business continuity capabilities.
- Facilitate assessment of business decisions on the business continuity processes and initiate improvements.
- Facilitate business process component of impact analysis and threat assessments.
- Assess the impact of business process and organizational changes on continuity plans and processes.
- Assist with the administration of the Business Continuity Management System and the Emergency Notification System.
- Evaluate ongoing ability of business continuity strategies to meet business requirements.
- Act as a scribe in all Business Continuity workshops as well as all Business Continuity Risk workshops.
- Follow up with sites, Pipeline and Head Office functions for updates to the Business Impact Analysis across the organization.
- Develop schedules and materials for Business Continuity training/awareness activities to ensure that business continuity teams are trained and proficient in implementing the business continuity plans.
- Maintain business continuity related documents including non-disclosure agreements. Monitor and update BCM related documents and procedures on the organizations' intranet.
- Monitor, collate and store current versions of all Assets, Function and Division BCP's and associated documentation to ensure accessibility as and when required by all levels of stakeholder.
- Review and update of the company Business Continuity Focal Points & Business Continuity Working Group list.
- Prepare attendance sheets, Risk Assessment Matrix, room bookings to enable a risk assessments across the organization to take place
- Participate in arranging BCM Awareness sessions.
- Coordinate business recovery exercises.
- Facilitate emergency communications with employees, Administer emergency communications tools.
- Schedule conference calls, supporting emergency communications, preparing and distributing status updates, guiding decision-making, ensuring execution of action items, and creating post-incident reports.
- Monitor BCM exercises at Crisis Management Team (IMT) level. Monitor BCM related activities at Crisis Management Team (IMT) led exercises and guide in matters related to implementation of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section / Team / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Team / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices

Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent .
- At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry related to Business Continuity, Crisis management and Business Resilience.
- Understanding of Business Continuity Management Standard Specifications (AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021).
- Very good knowledge on company's business in relation to its products, customers, operational flexibilities, procurement process / procedures, IT Disaster Recovery Plan, OT Disaster Recovery Plan, BCM Manpower assessment, Work Area Recovery Strategies, Crisis Management Standard, "ADNOC Code of Practice on Incident and Crisis Management," and have a thorough understanding of enterprise risk management.
