JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
A not-for-profit organization with a global presence is seeking a Bilingual (Arabic & English) candidate for the role of a Compliance & Audit Officer. Hosting a community of UN agencies and intergovernmental organizations they provide a wide range of services which include: emergency preparedness; response and evacuation; access to partnerships and fundraising and the development of an innovation lab for their members.
This position is pivotal in the management of risk and assurance and the successful candidate requires a proven career in the development of audit plans concerning, Anti Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Anti- Bribery & Corruption (ABAC). The Compliance & Audit Officer will seek out areas of risk and develop and implement an organizational strategy to correct actions and report periodically to the senior C-suite team with progress and any areas of concern. Implementing policies, procedures, and systems to aid the overall risk prevention plan, the successful candidate will ensure the integrity and ethical principles of the organization are upheld at all times. Once in place it is the responsibility of the Officer to ensure regular reviews and continued improvements, alongside developing strong relationships with local law enforcement, the relevant government authorities, and financial intelligent units.
All findings, improvements, policies, and investigations, should be documented throughout in the minutest of detail to ensure maximum compliance in all the above-mentioned areas. You will take decisions on suspicious activity and how the investigation should proceed and work with an exceptional level of confidentiality.
Therefore, you will be heavily relied upon to lead the organization through this exceptionally complex area. You will also upskill the team for them to recognize any suspicious activity and empower them to report their concerns with confidence and knowledge. All the above not only applies to the company as a whole, but also their members and therefore you will provide a great deal of research concerning past, current and potential members of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
To be shortlisted for this role you should possess fluency in both Arabic and English languages, and at least 3 years in a similar role directly developing policies and investigations concerning AML, CTF and ABAC. Those with a relevant qualification in the same are exceptionally advantageous as are UAE NATIONALS for this exciting and challenging position.
