Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Architect to their UAE team. As the portfolio of infrastructure / civil projects across the Middle East continues to expand, so too does our employer, a leading provider of public safety and security solutions. Looking to expand their ranks and with long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to welcome a professional and experienced Architect to support the detailed design and/or design and build process through the design and construction phases for two of their multi-billion dollar projects.
Reporting to the Civil Engineering Team Leader, this role is responsible for the following:
• Providing Architectural support for two major projects.
• Working in close collaboration with headquarter architect, headquarter civil design team, local design consultants, local contractors, and the various country authorities.
• Implementation of design and design changes relating to architectural design drawing, specs, requirements, SOWs, etc.
• Design and planning point of contact with external design and design & build companies, in coordination with design leaders.
• Support of the design leader in the design coordination of the following disciplines: security, architecture, system engineering, structural, roads, safety and MEP.
• Support and assistance with the country master planning, permit and processes.
• Design and planning point of contact for headquarters’ architects.
• Review and approval of architectural detail design, shop drawings, and specs.
• Verification of detailed design packages, ensuring compliance with all required standards /requirements.
• Participation in all design related activities, including DRs, PDRs, and CDRs.
• In charge of accuracy and suitability of format, graphics and drawing data.
REQUIREMENTS
The attributes we seek for this pivotal role include:
• Degree qualified with a Bachelor or Masters in Architecture, with membership of a recognised professional body being highly regarded.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in architectural design.
• Good working knowledge and experience in design of multidisciplinary and complex buildings combined with a knowledge of electrical and mechanical elements.
• Good knowledge and experience of International codes and norms.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with design review & design supervision.
• Driving license is essential.
• Experience working within a large matrix and multi-nationality organization.
• Working experience in Oil and Gas fields and the Middle East would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
• Fluent written and oral English skills.
