Aruba Network Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Tier 2 Network Engineer Aruba Networks who is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting network devices within an organization or between organizations. Assume responsibility for key client networks, accountable for maintenance and improvement.

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with Aruba Central Security Service Edge (SSE) and ClearPass, along with a strong understanding of network security, wireless infrastructure, and network management solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance across the organization.

Job responsibilities

• 5 years hands-on experience, especially focusing on Aruba Central Security Service Edge (SSE) and ClearPass implementation.
• Proven incident and problem-solving (troubleshooting) skills with an emphasis on timely and accurate resolution.
• Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing the function of other systems.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with teammates, managers, and clients to maintain high service levels in a demanding environment.
• Leads in the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
• Ability to learn very quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Job requirements

• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues related to Aruba Central Security Service Edge (SSE) and ClearPass.
• Deployment, configuration, and optimization of Aruba ClearPass and Central platforms to ensure robust network access control and security.
• In-depth working knowledge of designing, configuring, and managing Aruba ClearPass solutions to ensure secure network access. Implement and maintain authentication policies, network access rules, and device profiling; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network access control ensuring minimal disruption to users.
• In-depth working knowledge of Aruba Central for network monitoring and management. Configuring and maintaining network devices (e.g., access points, switches, and gateways) using Aruba Central. Monitoring network performance and health and generating reports to assess network activity and usage.
• In-depth working knowledge of Aruba SASE deployments, configuring SSE as-a-service platform and integrating ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and DEM into a single easy-to-use interface.
• At least two years of working knowledge of any SD-WAN technologies.
• Nice to have prior SASE experience.
• Experience with security compliance standards such as PCI, HIPAA, etc.
• Sharp troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Supporting in rotations, shifts, and 24/7 on-call support.
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree or 5 years experience in related field.
