JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

As the Assembly Duty Officer, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Flight Preparation and Assembly department. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and oversee the efficient assembly of completed flights, ensuring they meet the approved specifications and adhere to the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standard. In collaboration with the Executive Sous Chef, you will also play a key role in establishing and managing minimum and maximum stock holdings to optimize performance during flight assembly and tray setting. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our operations and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage resource deployment and cultivate a high-performance culture, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Provide clear direction to the Portioning Department and establish stock holding requirements, optimizing meal preparation efficiency.
• Coordinate buffer stock management for high-risk orders, collaborate with the Ware Wash Department, and set visible Flight Preparation KPIs.
• Ensure flights adhere to specifications and safety standards, maintain inventory levels, and utilize data for efficient flight preparation.
• Uphold strict quality control standards, offer insights for improved packing methods, and oversee equipment checks and maintenance.
• Develop equipment requirements, manage equipment deficits collaboratively, and set holding requirements for Assembly Equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a Flight Assembly Function.
• Proven experience in food production or assembly, preferably within the airline catering industry.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of making data-driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
