WSP is looking for two Assistant Construction Managers with a proven track record of working on the supervision works of high-rise buildings to join us on a project in downtown Dubai.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Control and manage elements of the project to enable their delivery in conformity with the budget, time, and quality standards required.
* Monitors and reports to the project director on the progress of all project activity, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
* Work with the project team, contractor, and client representatives to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
* Produce project reports to be issued to the client on a monthly and weekly basis, or as required to report on the progress and performance.
* Identify the potential areas of delay, highlight the critical events & suggest/provide mitigation measures to minimize those delays during progress meetings.
* Provide assistance on the overall safety management on site, including recording issues.
* Ensure that all environmental conditions/requirements of the project HS&E plan are being adhered to by the contractor.
* Support the on-site quality control, coordination of benchmarks, and liaison with the project management and contractor's stakeholders.
* Attending site inspections as directed by the Project Leadership.
* Agree on the final quality inspections with the construction team.
* Ensure that the contractor maintains the site in terms of cleanliness, logistics, mandatory signage and etc.
REQUIREMENTS
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
* 8+ years of experience in field construction is required.
* Experience in the construction supervision of interior / MEP works for high-rise buildings.
* Possess a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on similar or related projects.
* Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients, and enjoy being hands-on technically in the project.
* Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
