JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

A reputable and well-established Bank is actively recruiting an Assistant Operational Risk Manager for their team in Umm Al Quwain.

The main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist and implement the operational risk management strategy ensuring adherence to both internal policies and external regulations.
- Conduct qualitative risk assessments for business units to identify potential expected losses.
- Review vendor proposals and provide feedback.
- Analyse the efficiency of controls in maintaining acceptable risk levels.
- Prepare reports and communicate with senior management the key findings, critical issues, and risks.
- Identify training requirements and conduct training programs for staff.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational risk management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Certification in Operational Risk.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ORM or process improvement within the banking industry in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE banking laws and regulations.
- Strong relationship and team management skills
- Solid risk management experience with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, financial markets, and industry standards.
