Assistant Principal

Job Description

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, innovative, Assistant Principal to join the team and play a key role on the Executive Leadership Team in driving forward the Primary phase of the school with key whole school responsibilities.

The Assistant Principal of Primary will inspire colleagues to inspire students. He or she will be a compassionate, values-based leader and will maintain an inclusive culture for staff and for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the school's vision and mission as well as all policies, academic standards, and pastoral support, alongside shaping and implementing the educational strategy for the school.

Skills

The Assistant Principal of Primary will personally lead all aspects of the Primary School and will work alongside the Principal, Vice Principal, and Assistant Principal of Secondary to lead the whole school. All aspects of school life lie within the direct or indirect responsibility of the Assistant Principal of Primary. Key areas are outlined as follows:

• Leading teaching and learning
• Ensuring high quality care and support for students in the Primary School
• Promoting, adapting, and implementing a cohesive and inclusive world-class curriculum
• Tracking data, leading on assessment and reporting
• Leading professional learning and development
• Ensuring outstanding academic standards in the Primary School in relation to the school's own desire for all students to be high performers as well as a commitment to the UAE National Agenda targets
• Securing accountability
• Marketing and communication
• Community engagement and parental involvement
• Enhancing the wider co-curricular life of the primary phase
