JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Assistant Teacher will help the lead teacher manage a classroom of children. Key responsibility is to assists in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well-being and safety of the children in her care.
Key Responsibility
- Exhibits a genuine nurturing, caring attitude to all children.
- Maintains a positive, calm attitude and a soft voice, and encourage this attitude and voice in others working in the center.
- Plans with and assists in preparing materials and supplies in advance for activities.
- Instruct and supervise the children in social and developmental activities.
- Help feed and change for the children, and generally provide one-on-one attention when needed.
- She must help organize the classroom and plan intellectual activities for children, per the lead teacher's requests.
- Interacting with children, preparing snacks, teaching children about numbers, colors and shapes, helping them get dressed and changing their diapers when needed.
- Evaluate students' social development and physical well-being.
- Execute activities when allocated within one of the University Taskforce Teams or special assignment.
- Establish and maintain effective, working relationships with children, parents, and program faculty.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree preferable in early childhood education or child development
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a preschool.
- English language proficiency.
- Arabic Language is an advantage.
