WSP are looking for Engineers at an Associate / Associate Director level with a proven track record of leading design projects in the Building Structures Engineering space.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Responsible for the technical design and structural deliverables on multiple projects, from the concept stage to the final detail design and continuing through the project life cycle until the completion of the project.
* Ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting clients' requirements and business objectives.
* Lead the project team to ensure that the deliverables are submitted on schedule and meet client expectations.
* Coordinate with Client's Project Managers, Contractors, and attend the design team meetings.
* Ensure that the terms of the contract are followed and manage scope changes by effectively delivering project objectives.
* Monitor progress, provide financial control, and ensure the quality of the project.
* Provide support to the Project Managers to facilitate the delivery of construction.
* Responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project.
* Ensure robust project plans and forecasts are produced and regularly updated.
* Liaise with Local Authority Engineers and their requirements and obtain the structural committee approval of the project.
* Review of contractor's design related to temporary structures and their impact on the main structure.
REQUIREMENTS
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* A Civil or Structural Engineering Degree.
* Over 15 years of broad, international experience in multi-disciplinary projects in the built environment.
* Familiarity with different working environments, working at heights, confined spaces, operational buildings, and industrial plants.
* Expertise in material technology; mainly for reinforced concrete but also steel structures, coatings, sealants, and masonry (render, stone, plaster, brickwork).
* Expertise in repair projects; mainly for reinforced concrete but also coating refurbishments, sealant reinstatement, facades
* Knowledge in corrosion (reinforced concrete and structural steels) with CP design, supervision, and commissioning works.
