JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Join our dynamic team at Dragon Racing as an Automotive Technician / Race Mechanic, where your passion for high-performance vehicles meets the thrilling world of motorsports.
You will play a critical role in the maintenance and repair of racing and road vehicles, ensuring they operate at peak performance during race events and also for our automotive clients. Your skills will contribute to the success of our team on and off the track, making every moment count in the fast-paced environment of racing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of race cars and supercars to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform mechanical repairs and upgrades on race cars and supercars, including engines, suspensions, and braking systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement performance enhancement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Participate in race day preparations, including vehicle setup, tire changes, and post-race evaluations.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored securely.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or race mechanic, preferably in a high-performance environment.- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during race events.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Passion for motorsports and a keen understanding of racing vehicles and their performance needs.
- Relevant certifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering are a plus.
