JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the development and achievement of CM2, and assistance in the development of the strategy and related activities of the BU in his region/IGC; Responsible for the concept and completeness of the quotation and subsequent sale of technically sophisticated and complex products in a comprehensive sales area.

• Responsible to support the growth strategies within the region; customer visits, budget quotations, order intake
• Creates and organizes quotations, finds technical and commercial solutions to meet customer expectations and achieve MDT’s business targets. Development of the technical concept. Clarification of the scope and content of the project as well as clarification of detailed questions, if necessary, with the corresponding contact partners in the specialist departments.
• Creates preliminary costing and price negotiations within the guidelines
• Leading of negotiations, participation in final negotiations, signing contracts (in line with sales guidelines and regulations)
• Regional bid-coordination between customers/agents and Product Centers
• Bid management for local projects
• Regular business travel
• Maintain important customer contacts (selected Key Accounts)
• Conducting of inquiries according to the procurement guidelines of MTD. To prepare a comprehensive bid comparison as basis for procurement decision.
• Assisting Sales in building up customer relationships and follow up of the bidding process until the conclusion of the contract. If necessary, carry out further contractual negotiations to clarify or change technical and commercial details, if required with the support of the specialist departments and the superior.
• Maintain knowledge in product, market and customer applications by developing customer contacts during the Bid processes
• Preparation and conducting customer presentations
• Create the final version of the order set
• Transfer of the project to the project manager and his team

REQUIREMENTS

• Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels
• Seasoned sales / marketing experience with 5 to 10 years of related experience, preferably in the turbo machinery
• Comparable broad specialized expertise and constant ongoing training in this area (additional formal qualification certificates, etc.)
• Generalist knowledge relating to market and economic aspects or post-graduate qualification in Business Administration
• Advance knowledge of project management methods
• Sales experience in an international environment
• Degree of professionalism recognised across all relevant disciplines
