JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent IT related discipline or equivalent experience. Preferabily higher level business-related qualification, such as MBA preferably certification in at least one of the areas mentioned in Annex 1 Experience in the development of distributed, mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures for multi-user systems. Experience of detailed business system architecture and design Specialist experience in at least two of the areas mentioned in Annex 1 Preferably technical leadership and architecture experience
- Experience: Information Technology. Infrastructure 5+ Years
- Knowledge/skills: Understanding of solution technologies such as Java/JEE/Oracle/BI/DW/ERP Understanding of Architecture Methods, Principles and Patters (OOAD, GoF,SOA etc.). Understanding of Architecture and design artifacts (Archimate, UML models etc. Understanding of industry standard development methods (e.g. RUP, SCRUM) Understanding of Open Source Frameworks ( Apache, Spring etc.) Understanding of architecture capabilities (Rules, Workflows, Security etc.)

This role is specificially for a Big Data Architect with skills below:
- Track record of successful delivery of Hadoop implementations all the way to Production - Preferably Cloudera based
- HDFS and related technologies (Avro, Parquet, Snappy)
- Map Reduce and Yarn
- Spark and Spark Streaming
- Flume, Kafka, Sqoop
- Hive, Pig, Impala
- Oozie
- Linux shell scripting

Experience with following technologies is a bonus:
- Elastic Search
- Solr / Cloudera Search
- Cassandra
- HBase
- Datameer / Trifacta / Platfora and similar tools
