JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Technician specializing in road design and infrastructure projects to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing project delivery through advanced BIM methodologies, producing high-quality models, and collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration of design elements. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for road infrastructure projects using industry-standard software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit.
- Collaborate with project engineers and architects to ensure models accurately represent project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct clash detection and coordination meetings to identify and resolve issues within the BIM models.
- Assist in preparing construction documentation and technical drawings based on BIM models for project bids and execution.
- Provide training and support to junior team members on BIM best practices and software utilization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in BIM and suggest improvements to current processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all BIM outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.- Proven experience as a BIM Technician with a focus on road infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of road design principles, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
