JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Opportunity:
• The Dubai office of this international law firm works with an impressive client base across the MENA region, offering a diverse range of services including corporate law (M&A, venture capital, private equity, and funds), real estate and construction, dispute resolution, and intellectual property. This team is particularly well-regarded for its expertise in the technology, private wealth, and hotels and hospitality sectors.
• The firm is currently seeking a Business Development Manager in Dubai to support ambitious growth plans through strategic business development, high-profile campaigns, events, and communications across all practice areas in the Dubai office. While the focus will be on the Dubai team, this role will closely collaborate with the global firm, particularly with the BD, Marketing, and Communications teams based in London.
• The ideal candidate will be an innovative, growth-focused professional with strong commercial acumen and a proactive, energetic approach. The role requires someone who can quickly get to know the business, develop and manage a wide range of relationships, and take a hands-on approach to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Dubai partners and UK managers to translate practice and sector goals into specific BD objectives and marketing campaigns.
• Develop and implement targeting plans and initiatives with Dubai partners to drive revenue and relationship growth.
• Manage the Dubai BD and Marketing budget, including tracking spend and preparing cost/benefit analyses.
• Work with partners and the UK Bids team to pitch for new business opportunities, including drafting and coordinating pitch documents.
• Coordinate with the London client development team to enhance revenue from key clients for the Dubai office.
• Maintain up-to-date pitch materials and credentials in collaboration with the UK Marketing & BD Operations team.
• Create compelling client communications materials, managing timelines through internal design and web editing teams.
• Organize high-quality events in collaboration with Dubai lawyers and the UK events team to connect with key audiences and maximize ROI.
• Manage digital content creation with the UK digital marketing team.
• Support internal communications to ensure Dubai and MENA activities are well understood across the firm.
• Lead on directory/award submissions to enhance the market profile of the Dubai office and its teams.
• Foster strong working relationships with colleagues across international locations to strengthen collaboration.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in a Business Development role at the manager level, with a background in pitches, account management, awards and directories, marketing campaigns, and thought leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of the Dubai market and local industry networks, events, and organizations.
• A proactive and action-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with a track record of building collaborative relationships at all levels.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with colleagues and clients.
• A creative, flexible approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to generate meaningful data for business intelligence purposes.
• Ambition, drive, and a strong work ethic.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
