JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We seek an experienced business development and project manager to join our dynamic team in the UAE, which focuses on the power generation, utilities, and renewable energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong business development and project management background, with a proven track record of driving growth and managing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify and capture new opportunities in the energy and utilities sector.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial client engagement and proposal development to project execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure project feasibility and alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Prepare and present detailed project proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors to secure contracts and agreements.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in energy technologies and market developments to inform business strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and project management within the energy, utilities, or renewable energy sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the energy market dynamics, regulatory environment, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet project requirements.
