JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse are working with a Global Energy Company who specialise in upstream Oil & Gas Production and Trading. They are expanding their presence in the Middle East and Africa and want to hire an experienced Business Development Executive to help market and grow the company.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for growing the firm, so the main requirement is to identify and develop new business opportunities in the Oil Trading sector. The main areas of BD focus will be centred around the Middle East, South Asia and East Africa and working with crude oil and refined products.
This role will work with local oil refineries and potential clients to secure crude and refined product resources. The BD Executive should be comfortable when negotiating contracts and terms with clients and partners in order to optimise revenue for the firm.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Business Development within the Oil Trading industry, ideally in the UAE. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of global oil markets and trading practices. This will be a fast-paced role with a focus on achieving sales targets so it is important to come from a similar background. Additionally, there may also be a requirement to travel internationally.The role will require regular communication with senior management in Singapore and China, so a fluency in Chinese would be beneficial but not mandatory.
