JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is a large, well established Dubai based company that specializes in live and virtual events, strategic and digital communications, consulting and community solutions.
They are now looking for a Business Development Executive to join their busy team. The main objective of the role is to provide development and performance of all Business Development activities in assigned markets. Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development new and upcoming markets
Main Responsibilities
* Follow the business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
• Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans as needed.
• Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding clients and performance.
• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
• Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
• Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses in coordination with the Operations Team
• Assist Various Departments in preparation of proposals and presentations.
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
• Visit potential customers for new business on a weekly basis (min of 2 per week).
• Visit current existing customers for new business on a weekly basis (min of 2 per week).
• Make accurate, rapid cost calculations, and provide customers with quotations.
• Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on future buying trends.
• Representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Negotiate variations in price, delivery and specifications with your company's managers.
• Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
• Liaise with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
• Check quantities of goods on display and in stock (if required).
• Record Business Development processes in house and send reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Review own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
Requirements:
Reporting to Regional Business Development Director, the client criteria is:• 2-5 years of experience in sales management in the Hospitality / Travel / MICE sector
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Management studies or any similar technical University degree (MBA)
• Experience in all aspects of Client and Supplier Relationship Management.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
• The ability and desire to sell.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic/ French/ Spanish an added advantage).
• Strong commercial awareness.
• A confident and determined approach.
• Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
• A high degree of self-motivation and drive.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment.
Salary:
AED
10,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Commission, health insurance, air ticket
