JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
A highly successful diversified group is looking for a passionate, Arabic speaking, Business Development Manager to join their FMCG division
You will be tasked with developing new business opportunities, as well as existing client development, across the Middles East and West Africa, mainly focusing on the traditional trade market. The portfolio will include food and non-food products.
Market Analysis and Strategy Development
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential areas for growth within the FMCG Sector.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for market expansion, including target countries, segments, and distribution channels.
Partnership and Relationship Building.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, retailers, and potential clients to drive business growth and increase market share.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of partnerships and Projects.
Sales and Revenue Generation
• Drive sales growth by identifying and securing new distribution channels, clients, and strategic partnerships.
• Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets while ensuring profitability and sustainable business growth.
Negotiations and Contracts
• Lead negotiations with potential clients, distributors, and partners to secure favorable terms and agreements.
• Draft review and finalize contracts and agreements to ensure legal and operational compliance.
Market Penetration and Branding
• Develop and execute effective market penetration strategies to establish a strong brand presence in target markets.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adapt strategies as needed.
Team leadership and Collaboration
• Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Coordinating with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and finance to align strategies and ensure successful execution.
Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
• Utilized data-driven insights to assess performance and adjust strategies for optimal results.
AED 30,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, MUST be within the FMCG Sector
• Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
• MUST be fluent in English and Arabic; proficiency in French is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal Skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Willingness to travel frequently to African and Middle Eastern countries.
• Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and effectively manage a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
