JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Manage assigned product category to achieve sales and margin targets
• Develop and execute category strategy
• Conduct range reviews and product selection
• Identify new product and supplier opportunities
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, and trading terms
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Monitor sales, margins, stock levels, and KPIs
• Plan promotions and review performance
• Ensure competitive pricing and market positioning
• Work closely with supply chain for forecasting and stock planning
• Analyze competitor activity and market trends
Requirements:
• 5+ years buying experience in FMCG / grocery retail• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Experience in category management
• Strong analytical skills (Excel proficiency)
• Experience in high-volume retail environment
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
