JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

An international company that has a rich legacy of 50 years in the Chemical Manufacturing industry is looking for a Chemical Raw Materials Buyer who will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating contracts for the raw materials used in chemical manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chemical engineering, as well as experience in purchasing and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and source raw materials required for chemical manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery times.
• Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and efficient delivery of raw materials.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the purchase and use of chemicals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and raw materials.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the purchase and use of chemicals.
