JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
My client is a global leader in the chemical industry. They are currently looking for a Buyer for their office in Dubai where you will be responsible for Identifing & implementing cost optimization opportunities in technical procurement, services, raw, packaging & merchandize materials by working in close coordination with global procurement teams, market/country managers. This will include:
• Negotiating with external vendors to secure cost and Service advantageous.
• Ensure all legal agreements are in place for new & existing suppliers
• Agree sourcing plans and implement timely purchases to meet organization requirements
• Specify needs of the internal customers by working cross functionally, determine technical specifications and alternative solutions, including master planning and schedules
• Source appropriate suppliers, assess competencies and invite offers, evaluate supplier offers and seek technical evaluation from internal stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or chemistry
• SAP & MS Office knowledge (SAP experience is essential)
• 5 years professional experience in procurement
• Must have a energetic and enthusiastic mindset.
