JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Develop detailed CAD drawings for interior fit-out projects, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.
• Translate concept drawings, sketches, and design briefs into technical shop drawings and fabrication details.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and production teams to ensure drawings are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and material selections.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and joinery details for manufacturing.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for technical inputs, ensuring designs meet feasibility and installation requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and project changes.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, industry standards, and company quality guidelines.
• Maintain organized drawing libraries, revision histories, and documentation for all projects.
• Provide technical support during site installation when required.
Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering (or relevant discipline).• Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience as a CAD Designer/Draughtsman in the interior fit-out industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or 3D Studio Max is an added advantage.
• Ability to produce accurate, clear, and well-organized shop drawings, cutting lists, and fabrication details.
• Excellent eye for detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across design, estimation, and site teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and local authority standards is desirable.
