Overview of the Role

The Cash Office Executive is responsible for handling financial reconciliation, reporting, and audit functions for store operations, ensuring adherence to IKEA/Al Futtaim procedures and internal SOPs. This role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and providing accurate reporting, while also supporting customer service needs related to petty cash and transactions. Success in this role requires attention to detail, compliance with directives, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position interacts with various departments and demands a continuous improvement approach to enhance processes.

What You Will Do

  • Handle daily reconciliation of store takings and reporting.
  • Conduct forex reconciliation and monitor exchange rates.
  • Manage cheques collection and control.
  • Ensure daily tally of safe fund.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Redeem and reconcile gift vouchers.
  • Manage banking of various tender types.
  • Oversee store petty cash management.
  • Ensure quality in following procedures and timely reporting.
  • Investigate and report till discrepancy cases.
  • Provide excellent customer service related to petty cash, quotes, LPOs, and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with IKEA/Al Futtaim directives and SOPs in cash office processes.
  • Submit reports on daily store activities.
  • Required Skills to Be Successful

  • Good knowledge of accounting and cash handling.
  • Very good command of the English language.

  • What Qualifies You for the Role

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 2-3 years of retail cash handling experience, with preference for finance and accounting experience.
  • Experience with Navision and SAP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel and data management tools.
