JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Accounting and Financial Management:
• Oversee and manage financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Bookkeeping and accounting for all group companies and any other types of investments owned by shareholder (passive income, active income, real estate properties, etc.)

Financial policies and procedures:
• Develop and implement accounting/financial policies and procedures, updating them as needed.
• Ensure compliance with changing regulations and business needs
• Train the team to develop and implement best financial and accounting practices
• Train the team to support the Chief Accountant with accounting matters such as bookkeeping

Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Analysis:
• Collaborate with management to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and conduct financial analysis.
• Monitor budget variances and provide strategic insights.

Cash Flow Management
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.
• Implement effective cash management strategies.

HR Matters
• Support the management with HR functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, and personnel file maintenance
• Stay informed about labor laws and ensure compliance with HR practices

Payroll
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and handle payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies

Financial audits
• Coordinate and manage financial audits, implementing auditor recommendations.
• Strengthen internal controls based on audit findings.

VAT returns and corporate tax compliance
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and tax laws regulations wherever the group operates

Team leadership
• Supervise and mentor the team (including non finance professionals).
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Due Diligence
• Develop and apply analytical skills to conduct successfully financial and accounting due diligence, on potential investments

Family accounting
• Bookkeeping and accounting (P&L) for the shareholder and his family and all assets owned privately by the family (including but not limited to portfolio investments and real estate) since the 1st Jan. 2022 up to date and prepare monthly cash flow statements to ensure liquidity for the family

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably with due diligence exposure with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong analytical skills in financial investment analysis.
• Experience with HR matters and payroll administration.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prefer Italian speakers

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
