JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Full package AED23000 monthly

On behalf of our client, a leading Raw Chemical Distribution Company, we are looking to recruit a native Arabic speaking Chief Accountant & Cost Controller for their Dubai office. Reporting to CEO & COO, you mission is to supervise the accounting activity and team in the attributed region (GCC & Jordan), while overseeing the maintenance of the organization's general ledger and accounting practices, including payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets, and payrolls, as well as developing and maintaining accounting principles, best practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position also addresses the budget and cost controlling role for the entire organization, working closely with senior management to be in line with budgets and improve cost efficiency.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
- General Accounting: Overview & control of the accounts, Compliance of accounts, bank compliance, supervision and guidance of the accounting team
- Controlling: Budget follow up, cost & expenditure control, analysis, recommendations, harmonizing the cost and financial terms across the company, reporting to senior management

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate should have minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting and controlling on a REGIONAL/MULTI-COUNTRY level mainly in Middle East region, with minimum of 3 years of experience as Chief Accountant managing a team, and a sound business understanding in a distribution and manufacturing environment.

You hold a University level degree in Accounting and/or Finance, ideally with specialization in controlling.

You have an analytical mind with capability to find pragmatic solutions. You are detail oriented and focused personality. This role requires native Arabic skills and fluent English skills (speak, write and read).
