JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with a leading real estate developer in Dubai which have a range of masterplan, commercial and residential properties within its portfolio. Our client is seeking an experienced Arabic speaking Commercial Director who will be responsible for providing senior leadership within the contracts and procurement functions.
The ideal candidate will have originated from a Quantity Surveying background with a strong understanding of QAQC practices.
This Director role will be responsible for providing overall focus for the developer’s procurement needs, improving coordination, and developing and managing initiatives to maximize other departments’ involvement. The Contracts and Procurement Director will assist other departments in the overall application of procurement policies.
In conjunction, this role will identify high level procurement issues, leads the development of solutions and provides guidance to management on resolving complex issues, whilst ensuring the procurement administration process.
The Commercial Director will manage and monitor all phases of the procurement process from inception through completion including preparing, reviewing, and approving all documents to ensure protection of the company’s position and identifying risk factors.
REQUIREMENTS
The client will look to recruit an Arabic speaking Commercial or Procurement professional, with a minimum of 15 years with a leading PMC or Real Estate Developer in the UAE or GCC.
The selected candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Finance from an internationally recognised University. Candidates holding Professional Memberships or Chartered status (MRICS / FRICS) will also be considered as a priority.
