JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Take responsibility for the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the marine sector and successfully manage the contractors on behalf of the client.
- Be competent in the delivery of Cost Management services.
- Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.
- Maintain effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of project, to liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost effective.
- Be able to undertake commercial management services with limited supervision.
- Deliver all work outputs in an accurately and timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with other Quantity Surveyors and manage related issues on a multi-disciplinary infrastructure project including liaising with stakeholders
- Be a proactive team player.
REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline which is eligible for RICS or equivalent
- 15 years minimum relevant work experience, preferably gained in large Contracting and consultancy organisations
- Specific experience in marine project with dredging or reclamation
- Fluent in English (verbal & written)
- Dubai based or able to relocate to Dubai at short notice
- Ideally available for quick start date (within 4 weeks)
Individual:
With an excellent track record of as a commercial or commercial Contracts Manager on major infrastructure and marine and reclamation schemes. You will be looking to take up this key role on one a challenging and iconic project involving land reclamation and dredging. The appropriate candidate must be capable of engaging with both the client and the contractors to successfully deliver the project.
