JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- The Commercial Manager will be expected to lead and be responsible for the commercial aspects of a multi-billion master plan residential development in Abu Dhabi for a Project Management Consultant (PMC).
- The role requires the candidate to have extensive experience in Commercial Management in a PMC or Cost Consultant environment.
- The ideal candidate is to have strong commercial awareness and ideally have commenced Professional Qualification through the RICS or equivalent with relevant experience in preparing cost plans, managing procurement, managing project cost control, cash flow, cost reporting, post contract commercial & cost management.
Requirements:
- BSc Quantity Surveying equivalent- 8+ years of relevant experience in PMC/Cost Consultant environment.
- Support Project Delivery Team on all commercial aspects of the Project.
- Prepare cost information on all Project's aspects.
- Lead procurement activities and documentation.
- Assist in establishing best practice procedures on cost/ commercial management of the Project.
- Lead Cost Management of the Project with respect to Cost Planning, cost reporting, change management and Contract Close out in liaison with the Delivery Team.
- Assist with the contract administration of construction and contracts and consultant appointments including the payment process thereof.
- Issue a monthly commercial report incorporating an up to date cash flow and analysis of costs to date and projected final account figure
- Lead & manage Change Management Process.
- Final account close out
- Claims Management - logging, review, respond and close out.
