JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operational according to specifications and industry standards. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders throughout the commissioning process. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the successful delivery of engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commissioning activities for various engineering projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, checklists, and procedures to ensure thorough testing and validation of systems and equipment.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate the readiness of systems for commissioning, identifying potential issues and solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to coordinate commissioning schedules and resources effectively.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of systems, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components.
- Document commissioning activities, including test results, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented, to maintain accurate records.
- Provide training and support to operational staff on system functionalities and maintenance requirements post-commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards throughout the commissioning process.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on commissioning progress and addressing any challenges that arise.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance commissioning processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution.- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer or in a similar role within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to commissioning and testing of systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using commissioning software and tools for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required, and to work flexible hours to meet project demands.
- Certification in relevant commissioning standards (e.g., CxA, LEED, etc.) is a plus.
