JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manager for Concurrent Audit to lead and oversee audit processes specifically within the real estate and hospitality sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry-specific standards, while identifying risks and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in auditing real estate and hospitality operations, with a keen ability to manage risks, propose process improvements, and maintain strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute concurrent audits across real estate and hospitality operations, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Identify and assess potential risks specific to property management, leasing, hotel operations, and guest services, providing recommendations for mitigation.
• Develop detailed audit plans tailored to the real estate and hospitality industries, focusing on operational efficiency, compliance, and financial accuracy.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, highlighting key findings, risks, and improvement areas, and present them to senior management with actionable insights.
• Ensure adherence to real estate regulations (such as RERA guidelines) and hospitality standards, monitoring any updates to local laws and industry guidelines.
• Propose and implement improvements in areas such as property management, leasing agreements, tenant relations, hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and financial controls based on audit findings.
• Mentor and manage junior auditors, ensuring high-quality audits and fostering professional growth within the team.
• Work closely with property managers, hotel management, and external auditors to ensure seamless audit processes.
• Clearly communicate audit outcomes, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring a solid understanding of implications in the real estate and hospitality context.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, CIA preferred).• Minimum of 6-8 years of concurrent audit experience, with a focus on the real estate and/or hospitality sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing practices, risk management, and compliance in the real estate and hospitality industries.
• Familiarity with real estate regulations (RERA) and hospitality operational standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate industry-specific risks.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience auditing real estate portfolios, property management operations, leasing, and hotel/resort operations.
• Familiarity with Dubai’s real estate and hospitality regulatory environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead multiple audits and manage cross-functional teams.
Location:
The role will be based in Dubai, with potential travel to various real estate and hospitality properties for client assignments.
