JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant or Specialist Pulmonologist to join our esteemed healthcare facility in the UAE. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, providing exceptional care to patients with respiratory disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing pulmonary diseases while contributing to the development of best practices in respiratory medicine.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with respiratory conditions, including but not limited to asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension, and interstitial lung disease.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, pulmonary function tests, and sleep studies to aid in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary disorders.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, thoracic surgeons, and respiratory therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures to promote lung health.
- Stay current with advancements in pulmonology by attending relevant conferences, participating in continuing education, and reviewing medical literature.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and pathways to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of pulmonology.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff, enhancing the overall clinical capabilities of the department.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine or Critical Care.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-fellowship in a tertiary care setting, with a focus on pulmonary diseases.
- Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive understanding of pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
