A leading Qatari construction contractor is urgently looking to fill the position for a major prestigious project in Abu Dhabi.

• Project cost/schedule
• Pre-award of sub-Contracts, briefings and presentations.
• Field construction management function
• Project management, coordination, control, and contract administration
• Oversight management and coordination of reviews and checking of shop drawings and other submittals
• Collection, logging, tracking and management of all construction data and drawings
• Oversight management and coordination of responses to requests for information from Sub-Contractor
• Procurement support and expediting support for materials and equipment
• Development and implementation of a procurement tracking system
• Periodic meetings with the Sub-Contractors, and Progress Review Meetings
• Risk analysis and assessment, and Value Management/Value Engineering
• Government regulations
• Acceptance inspection criteria for construction, and development and implementation of plans and schedules for commissioning
• Assistance and support in the commissioning
• Oversight management of the development and implementation of operation and maintenance procedures and manuals
• Management of warranties
• Identification and compilation of defects, discrepancies and "punch list"
• Oversight management of reviews and checking of as-built drawings
• Analysis, assessments, estimates and recommendations for all changes and claims
• Evaluation of Variations, time and cost claims under the Main Contract, negotiation of all changes, variations, and claims
• Adjudication and resolution of disputes, defend claims from Sub-Contractors

Requirements:
• Age 40 to 50 years.
• Experience 15 to 20 years in Senior Position.
• Building construction experience preferred over Civil.
• Middle East experience essential with use of FIDIC forms (EPC version preferable).
• To be proactive and take charge of commercial and contractual matters relating to Main Contract and Subcontracts.
• Manage QS Department.
• Good mannered, cooperative with team members
• Must have good knowledge of common computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and the Internet.
