Our client is an exclusive international marketing and trading company, with head offices based in Switzerland. They have established additional trading and business development offices internationally, throughout US, Europe, Middle East and into Africa. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a Contracts, Legal & Compliance Administrator to join the team in their DMCC offices.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide on the ground legal support for the Commercial Head of the Legal Desk and the Chief Compliance Officer who are based outside of the region, ensuring all AML and KYC procedures are adhered to and promoted in complete compliance with all applicable laws/ regulations and international trade sanctions. This will include KYC procedures over new companies onboarding process and registration within the corporate system, archiving and filing of KYC documentation and acting as the focal point for the counterparties (banks, etc.) and implementation of new / review of existing compliance policies and procedures for the company (Anti-Market Manipulation, Anti Bribery and Corruption etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

Additionally, the role is responsible for managing the company sale and purchase trading and trading related contracts, coordinating all contract documentation, perform risk assessment, mitigation & control and perform analysis and data consolidation. The role works closely with various departments within the organization, drafting bespoke and from precedent commercial trading agreements. It will liaise with external lawyers and manage disputes, claims resolution and litigation proceedings as may be assigned. Legal support will also be provided to other support functions as and when required (Finance, HR and IT).

This is an exciting and dynamic role for a highly progressive organization. We are specifically seeking candidates who have at least three years’ experience in a similar role, within commodities trading, oil & gas or trade finance sectors. From a Legal perspective, a general understanding of Common Law is required with exceptional English writing ability.
