Job Description :
The Project Cost Controller will play a pivotal role in managing and controlling project costs for Veolia Middle East's Waste Treatment Facilities in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the CAPEX Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will ensure project financial transactions are accurately recorded, Cost Control reports are prepared, and compliance with relevant accounting standards is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, coordinate, and prepare cost control reports for the Waste Treatment Facilities projects.
- Study contract scope, requirements, and perform direct and indirect cost analysis risk assessments.
- Assists internal stakeholders in forecasting the strategic resource requirements to the business unit
- Assists in analyzing the resources productivity and updating the master productivity sheet for the business unit.
- Implement cost control procedures for all project aspects, ensuring compliance with budget requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, department managers, and internal/external teams for effective project completion.
- Oversee the preparation of claims, review the cost impact, and assist in the preparation of variation orders.
- Lead the cost control function during job budget preparation and highlight potential over-run incidents.
- Provide project cost analysis, highlighting variances and unusual findings to the business unit.
- Analyze project KPIs and alert project management to potential issues.
- Coordinate with multiple internal and external project and business teams.
- Maintain record-keeping and ensure effective communication within the company.
- Prepare and present clear and concise technical reports to management.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all company staff, contractors, and client representatives.
- Analyze operational and technical problems, implement accurate solutions, and demonstrate proficiency in common IT applications.
- Possess knowledge of planning and cost control standard tools and software.
- Familiarity with waste treatment and incineration plant operational management is preferred.
- Perform 3-Way-Match for PO-Originated Invoices and validate/substantiate delivery/receipt to post other Non-PO-Originated invoices ensuring proper GL Coding (when required).
- Capture/Analyze/Validate actual costs and classify them into Fixed/Variable/Semi-Variable to support the development of standard costs and the understanding of their relation to changes in revenue streams.
- Support in KPI reporting by capturing/analyzing/validating the metrics used with other departments.
- Act as internal point of contact for inter-departmental financial queries (e.g. financial data for ICV compliance to procurement, staff accruals/advances balance to HR).
- Add vendors in BC365 and beneficiaries in the bank (when needed) ensuring accurate/documented payment details (SoD compliance).

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Professional certification such as FP&A, CMA, or FRM is highly desirable.
