JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Position Overview:
Supersonic Shipping Group, a dynamic and leading player in the maritime industry, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Crewing Operator at our Dubai office. The Crewing Operator plays a pivotal role in managing crewing operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, and maintaining a highly skilled and motivated crew for our vessels. The ideal candidate will have prior office experience within ship management companies or manning agencies and a deep understanding of maritime industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the recruitment, deployment, and rotation of seafarers for our vessels.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including STCW requirements, MLC, and various Crew National Labor Laws and Social Security issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oil Major's Crew Matrix and Vetting Inspections Crew requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR department to handle crew-related matters, including contracts, payroll, and benefits.
- Liaise with vessel masters and other relevant personnel to address crewing concerns and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the ISM Code and TMSA requirements related to crewing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of crew-related activities.
- Facilitate crew training and development programs to enhance skills and competencies.
- Monitor crew performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and high performance among the crew.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Preferably, a minimum of 3 years of previous office experience in a similar crewing operator position within ship management companies or manning agencies.
- Familiarity with the latest maritime industry requirements and regulations.
- Proficiency in Oil Major's Crew Matrix and Vetting Inspections Crew requirements.
- Thorough understanding of STCW requirements, MLC, and various Crew National Labor Laws and Social Security issues.
- Knowledge of the ISM Code and TMSA requirements related to crewing.
- Fluency in the English language is essential.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is considered a plus.
