Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a Data Engineer to work on a digital data transformation for an international company in Dubai (UAE). You must be a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join an evolving Data Engineering team which is responsible for managing a traditional in-house Enterprise Data Warehouse which supports the company's activities.

The Business has made a major investment in a multi-year programme to replace a key legacy application and build out a new Data Platform using Cloud Native Technologies hosted in Azure.

REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing, building, deploying, operating and maintaining data products and pipelines in line with the data strategy, architectural vision and roadmaps Working with a team of talented people as part of an agile delivery team Ensuring quality standards are met and products are continually improved in line with business value Working in alignment with the business stakeholders to give Oakbrook a distinctive capability in data and analytics Skills and experience:

- Building and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks Data engineering technologies, such as Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory etc. Big data engineering programming languages such as Python and/or Scala Cloud technologies, especially GCP and Azure T-SQL and maintenance of SSIS packages ETL Process Development Data Modelling Data Warehousing dimensional modelling techniques. .NET C# or Terraform would be desirable.
