Job description
- Supports the smooth running of the kitchen department, where all aspects of the guest dining experience throughout the whole hotel are delivered to the highest level
- Works as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to enquiries and problem resolution
- Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships whilst promoting the company culture and values
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required
Qualifications
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar capacity, preferably in a high-end hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory management
- Familiarity with local food regulations
